What surfaces can be pressure washed?
We can clean a wide range of surfaces, including driveways, sidewalks, patios, decks, fences, home exteriors, roofs, and more, effectively removing dirt, algae, grime, and stains. However, in order protect many of the surfaces around your property we also employ soft washing techniques.
Is pressure washing safe for all surfaces?
Most often the only time we use pressure is on concrete. Nearly everything else is soft washed. We use a process called downstreaming to do our house washes, which uses a pressure washer however, by the time the water hits your house the pressure isn't much more than a typical shower.
How often should I have my property pressure washed?
It depends on the environment and your specific needs, but generally, we recommend pressure washing your property annually to maintain cleanliness and prevent buildup. If your property gets plenty of sunlight you may be able to stretch that out to every other year. If you are unsure we can certainly walk the property with you and address any concerns.
Do I need to prepare my property before the pressure washing service?
We suggest removing any fragile items (plants, decorations, child or dog toys) or furniture from the area and clearing away loose debris. Our team will handle the rest to ensure a thorough and efficient cleaning process.
What is a roof wash?
The black streaks you see on asphalt shingle roofs is a bacteria called Gloeocapsa Magma. This bacteria eats the limestone grit in shingles leading to premature degradation. It is so common that many insurance companies now require a roof wash in order to continue coverage. We can help you uphold your end of the deal so that your insurance company will uphold theirs. We use a soft washing technique that is recommended by the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association to ensure a thorough and gentle clean.
Can you pressure wash a wood deck/fence?
We use the proper cleaning and brightening solutions to ensure that your wood isn't damaged by pressure or dried out from using the wrong chemicals.
What can you do with gutters?
Upkeep offers full gutter clean outs. Even if you have a guard of some kind your gutters will still need to be maintained. We would be glad to set you up on a recurring maintenance program to help ensure rainwater flows away from your house and avoid eroding the ground around your foundation.
